This database lists all our known walks. Use this to find a walk to lead. You can filter the LIST by 1/ 'title' (coastal, countryside, moorland etc), 2/ 'meeting point' (town or village name), 3/ 'distance miles' (a number 5, 6, 10 etc). Most walks have a downloadable map as a PDF (pdf icon) though it will likely be old so best to recheck a route using a website such as OS.

GPX files are walks that have been tracked and saved on navigation apps such as OS and Outdoor Active. Where a GPX is available you can download and import it to your own navigation app allowing you to follow a saved route as you walk it. Leaders can use the GPX as their guide to the listed walk they will lead, or to create a different version of that walk eg, shorten or extend it, divert around elevations etc. Information on creating and using GPX files can be found on OS at GPX File FAQs
